How to track Equb contributions without confusion
By EqubBet team
Simple rules for recording payments, partial payments and late payments so the numbers always add up.
Most Equb disagreements are about money that someone believes was paid. A simple, consistent way of recording contributions prevents them.
Record each payment separately
For every payment write down the member, the amount, the date, the method (cash, bank transfer, mobile money) and a reference such as a transaction number. Never combine two members' payments into one line.
Separate "recorded" from "verified"
A member may say "I sent it". Record it, then mark it verified only after you have seen the money arrive. Members and organisers should both be able to see which payments are still waiting.
Handle partial payments clearly
If a member pays half, record half. The record should show what was expected, what was paid and what is still owed for that round.
Count shares, not people
A member with two shares owes two contributions every round. Track each share's contribution so it is always clear which share is paid.
Agree the late rule — and use it
Decide when a payment counts as late and what happens next: a reminder, a late fee, or a conversation with the organiser. Apply it the same way to everyone.
Share a statement
Before each draw, share a summary: expected, verified and outstanding. Members can then confirm their own figures.
How EqubBet helps
EqubBet creates each round's contributions per share, records partial payments, flags possible duplicate references, and lets every member see their own statement.
