Frequently asked questions
Does EqubBet hold or move our money?
No. EqubBet records contributions and payouts so everyone can see them, but the money itself moves the way your group already handles it — cash, bank transfer or check — through your treasurer.
How do we know the draw is fair?
The server picks the winning share with cryptographic randomness and seals the result before the wheel spins. Each draw publishes evidence that lets anyone recompute the result, and a valid draw can never be re-run.
Can one person own more than one share?
Yes. Each share is tracked separately. When one of a member's shares wins, their other shares stay in future draws, and every share keeps contributing until the cycle ends.
What if we need to choose a winner by agreement, for an emergency?
Groups can allow a manual selection. It needs a written reason and a second approver, and every member is told the result was chosen manually.
Can members use it in Amharic?
Yes. Every member can choose English or Amharic, and certificates and emails are available in both.
What happens to our records if we stop paying?
Your history is never deleted because a subscription ends. Your group moves to read-only, and you can export your records.
